Setting up shop at Ant Hill

Last Sunday, volunteers showed up with everything from chairs and park benches to tiki umbrellas and a cloth school bus to make a big, empty space into a friendly, useful place for the Bow to Bluff public engagement project.

After an hour of  unloading and hauling furniture, an hour of deciding where everything should go, and another hour of rearranging everything just so—we’re settled in!  We have a faux indoor park, a comfy kids’ corner, and a working office.  We’ve posted a calendar of events in the window, popped up the posters, and plugged in the coffeemaker.  Really, there’s no place like home.

Thanks to everyone who helped us move in; a particular thanks to those of you who donated furniture, carpets, toys, books and other fun stuff.  See you back here for Bow to Bluff’s Grand Opening this Sunday October 2nd, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
