This week at Bow to Bluff we’ll reflect on the past and focus on the future with three events: Heritage Night, Bike Lanes/Bike Box, and B2B at Market Collective!

Calgary's first streetcar

We’d love to hear your stories about the history of Hillhurst-Sunnyside, especially about how the LRT implementation in the ’80′s affected the community and created the public corridor we’re studying today.  Bring any anecdotes, photographs or mementos that you’d like to share, as well as ideas on how to incorporate our rich architectural, and cultural heritage into the Bow to Bluff project. Heritage Night is Wednesday October 19th at 7:00pm at the Ant Hill building (148 10 St NW).  Please RSVP to or call 403-402-7860.

Don't forget to bring your bike!

Want to try cycling the Bow to Bluff corridor and the new bike lanes?  Wondering how to use the new bike box on 5th Ave and 10th St?  Cycle down to Ant HIll for the Bike Lanes/Bike Box event on Thursday October 20th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm for an evening of bike-related fun!  Partnering with Bike Calgary, we’ll cycle out as a group at 6:00pm sharp up the corridor and 10th Street, filming the ride with helmet cams.  When we return, there will be bike videos, a speaker from the City Transportation, bike box education and other activities, snacks and even a cake.

Bow to Bluff will also be at Market Collective this weekend (October 22nd – 23rd), as well as open regular storefront hours from Tuesday to Thursday, 4:00pm to 8:00pm.  We’re collecting your big ideas for revitalizing the corridor for at least another week, so be sure to drop by to talk to us!
